As most of you know, MOSVIC Movement exists to empower one another to tell our stories and to connect to one another through these honest and vulnerable conversations. From there, we desire to give people a platform to share their stories in the medium in which they’re comfortable and passionate (music, writing, media, art, etc.). We hope that by exposing our stories and encouraging others to do the same, that we will be able to remind each other that we’re not alone and that there are people who have gone through shitty things, just as we have. We have seen so many broken stories help people connect and expose their shards in just the short time that we have been a functioning movement, and we are passionate about helping the generations in existence learn how to be vulnerable with their shards.
You might be wondering what we mean when we mention shards or sharing our shards. Basically, there have been studies done that examine GenY and say that we are the most broken generation that has come in recent history, but if we could be vulnerable with our stories then we would be able to connect to create a beautiful mosaic of a generation. We are called the mosaic generation and we are passionate about being a part of that mosaic through telling our stories and connecting other’s stories to this mosaic. We believe in this. We believe that brokenness can become beautiful. So when we talk about shards, we are talking about sharing our broken stories with people in the hopes of connecting to one another to create something breathtaking.
One of the ways we hope to do this is by something we are calling the SHVRE YOUR SHVRDS Initiative. Weekly, beginning next Saturday, we will be highlighting an individual and their story through means that they enjoy such as writing, painting, video, song, etc. We hope that these stories will encourage you and and remind you that your story is important. If the story connects to yours and you’d like to reach the storyteller, contact us and we will help you connect to them or someone else from our team who would love to hear from you!
MOSVIC Movement has no religion or partiality. We acknowledge that we all have completely different backgrounds, beliefs, brokenness, joy, and we hope to help us all remember that we are humans and have stories that are worth knowing. The stories that will be shared will be honest and vulnerable from the individual who is telling their story. Perhaps we will learn to be tender with the hearts of people we meet in passing when we acknowledge that we all have stories to be told.
